About the role We’re hiring a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our Lifecycle & CRM Marketing team and shape how Chime engages, retains, and grows members throughout their lifecycle. You’ll own the strategy behind complex, high-impact programs across email, push, in-app, and SMS, connecting member experiences to outcomes such as primacy, retention, product attach, ARPAM, and LTV. You’ll operate with a high degree of independence, lead through ambiguity, and know when to escalate while influencing decisions across Product, Growth, Product Marketing, Creative, Data Science, and Analytics. You’ll also help the Lifecycle team develop stronger ways of working and contribute to lifecycle innovation through data, AI, automation, and personalized cross-channel journeys. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $150,000 and up to $208,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to
• Own the lifecycle strategy for a complex, high-impact area of the business, setting a clear direction tied to member and business outcomes.
• Design and evolve connected member journeys across email, push, in-app, and SMS as member behavior, business priorities, and available data change.
• Develop segmentation and targeting strategies with Data Science to deliver more personalized, behavior-based programs.
• Set the testing agenda, identify the most valuable questions to answer, run rigorous experiments, and translate findings into strategy.
• Lead cross-functional decisions with Product, Growth, Product Marketing, Creative, Data Science, and Analytics, influencing lifecycle processes and capabilities beyond your immediate work.
• Use AI tools and automation as a core part of how you work, helping the team move toward more automated and personalized member journeys.
• Own the outcomes for your area, connecting lifecycle work to primacy, retention, product attach, ARPAM, and LTV while raising the quality of strategy and execution around you.
To thrive in this role, you have
• 6–8+ years of experience in lifecycle, integrated, or retention marketing, including leading complex, cross-functional programs that delivered measurable results.
• Strong data fluency and experience using analytics and AI-enabled tools such as Hex, Looker, or Statsig to answer questions, develop strategy, and recognize when further investigation is needed.
• Experience incorporating AI and automation into your day-to-day work, along with a clear point of view on how lifecycle marketing is evolving.
• Strong strategic judgment across member journeys, segmentation, targeting, channel orchestration, and testing.
• The ability to lead cross-functional conversations, influence senior partners, navigate ambiguity, operate independently, and recognize when escalation is appropriate.
• Deep member obsession and the judgment to balance member experience with business needs in high-stakes decisions.
• It’s a plus if you have hands-on experience with a CRM or marketing automation platform such as Braze, Iterable, or Klaviyo; have owned a lifecycle domain such as activation, retention, or monetization end to end; or have designed automation- or agent-driven journeys.
